Class Attire
What should I wear to Tap Class?
Adults
Leotards, yoga bottoms and tank tops are all acceptable. Wear comfortable clothing. Tap shoes are required.

Kids
Leotards or an athletic top and form fitting bottoms so the instructor can clearly see the knee and ankle joint.
​
Shoes
Tap shoes required. We recommend oxford style tap shoes for the best control and sound production.
No split sole or slip on shoes please.
​
Hair
Hair is to be away from the face and neck. Must be secured into a ponytail, braids, bun etc. No headbands or hair clips please and thank you.
​
Jewelry
Please refrain from wearing jewelry. Only small stud earrings are permitted.

Prerequisites: Dancers must be at least 5 years of age. No previous tap experience needed.
​
Description: In this class students will learn about the different time signatures and ways to make sounds with their tap shoes while working on balance and coordination.
​
Time and Day: Mondays 5:00pm - 5:45pm
​
Duration: 14-Week Course
​
Dates: January 22 - May 6, 2024
​
No class on the following dates: February 19 or April 1st

Tap Basics
​
55 mins in-person class
​
Prerequisites: Dancers must have at least 2 years of tap experience
​
Description: In this class students will be able to start jamming now that they have an understanding of timing and sound production and can start building their tap vocabulary, technique and improvisation skills.
​
Time and Day: Mondays 6:35pm - 7:30pm
​
Duration: 14-Week Course
​
Dates: January 22 - May 6, 2024
​
No class on the following dates: February 19 or April 1st

​Spring Showcase will take place on Sunday, April 27, 2024. Time TBD by the end of February.
